Co-Teacher Warning Signs

They coral screaming kids into poorly ventilated rooms armed only with a beating stick.

They listen to foreign teachers complain about five minutes of lost vacation time.

They happily agree to translate everything we shove in their faces.

They work twice as long, twice as hard, and, quite often, make less money than their Native Speaker counterparts.

God help them if they are the youngest teacher in their grade.

They are our co-teachers, and we should pay close attention to any warning signs they may exhibit in this highly stressful beginning of the semester.

Scenario: Welcome back lesson.

Materials: Cards with pictures on them used for organizing the class into new groups.

The cards:

Basic items. Good work.



A bit more outlandish. But hey, build that vocabulary.

    I say it's a .38. Looks too skinny to be a .45

    20x20ft? I thought Korea along with the rest of the world use the metric system
