Novembers are for Resting

Let's take a look back. A list of October accomplishments. Gloating intentional.

1) Successfully completed two full weeks of school without a single substantial lesson.

2) Re-signed my contract with my school for one more year albeit their understanding that I successfully completed two weeks of school without a single substantial lesson.

3) Received a shirt from my school that I wore the next week and everyone laughed at me for wearing the shirt that the school gave me.

4) Performed to a crowd of 1200. Of Kyle's middle school students.

Hello Beomul Middle School!

5) Played in a band that took part in a national coast to coast tour. Learned that there were five weekends in October and we played four of them in three different cities.

6) Knocked my average sleep hours per night from a comfortable 7-8 to a more eye-twitching 4-5.

7) Lost only slightly less than half of students I was responsible for on a school field trip.

8) Currently watching It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia on Korea's Fox Life channel, thus assuring the positive ratings that will keep it on air.

9) Successfully (my interpretation) completed editing an English newspaper, awarding first prize to the best English writer at Gangdong High School, and the crowning the first annual winner of "The Gangdong High School First Annual Speaking Contest for Future Leaders of Korea." Even if I did have to stay late a multitude of times.

10) Regretted missing the meeting to name the speaking competition.

The Koreans say it best, even if it is immediately after telling me as politely as they can that I look like total shit. "Take a rest."
