Korea, You Owe Ohio an Apology

What better time to post something insulting to Cleveland than immediately after their hopes of a championship are crushed again? In poor taste, I know, but it's for the greater good.

I probably should be taking a lot more photos of clothing than I am. As an avid t-shirt collector, Korea is a gold mine of great tees to get a hold of. I've been very careful not to buy every t-shirt with hilarious misuse of the English language because my paycheck can not withstand that kind of dent. However, every now so often, I can't resist.

People in Korea are obsessed with English. You will see Korean people all over the place with great love for my native language, but clearly no regard for it's rules. The best way to show this infatuation is with their clothing.

Try reading that one fluently, waygooken.

I didn't buy that one, as evident with the cell-phone snapshot. But let me finish. It's also no question that Koreans are obsessed with American sports. Particularly, baseball. I easily give the Yankees the win in number of logo appearances, especially since Chan-Ho Park is now a Yank. There is another popular Korean baseball player that happens to play for the favorite team of many of my college friends, the Cleveland Indians. His name is Shin-Soo Choo. Indians apparel is now popping up everywhere. The problem is that Chief Wahoo is a bit more difficult to "draw" than the NY logo.

vs.

Which one would you rather draw?

The Koreans are trying, they really are, but the result is a hilarious mockery of a baseball team with such a rich history.

It's so close! But it still looks like Chief Clef-Palate Wahoo to me. Although this was wildly amusing to me, it wasn't enough to buy the shirt. I was ready to simply take a quick shot with my cellphone when I was notified of the reverse side. We all know that if there's one thing harder than drawing an cartoon Indian for a Korean, it's pronouncing the 'V' sound (it's not in their language). So they really never need to spell it. Unfortunately for them, Mister Choo is not on Kansas City.

The newest addition to my wardrobe, about seven dollars later.
